Just came back from my class trip to Gopeng which comprises of 3 classes: 6S2, 6S5 and 6S4... I've learnt a lot in this trip...
15th- Day 1:Arrived at Mutiara at about 8.10am which is 20 minutes earlier... Chatted for a while while waiting for the damn bus... Met with our tour guide-Ashley who is a crazy and damn funny 21 year old ex- CH girl... At about 9am, our journey begun... Reached somewhere near to the destination at about 12 something... All of us were wondering what is going to happen next because we weren't dropped at our resthouse yet and the bus had left... Suddenly, a few lorries came... We were told to board the lorry, and I was like 'huh??? What the heck is this???'... Whatever man, just followed the instructions and when the lorry started to move I was damn shocked man... Sitting in a lorry will be a first time for me, moreover, now I'm standing on it... The wind just kept blowing and the fun part is to feel the bumps of the lorry and evade all the branches... Damn cool man!!! Had the bumpy ride thrill for all the 4 days because whenever we go for outdoor activities, the lorry will be ready for us... FUN!!! After that, we reached the Adeline's Resthouse, our destination... Had lunch and saw Adeline's niece which is freaking hot!!! Then we started to sort our rooms... After that, we(6S5) started our 1st activity which is caving...Caving- If I'm not mistaken, the cave that we went was Gua Tempurung because I saw a banner outside... We were led by Arepex and his colleague Aredik... Cool man, the road to the top of the hill was particularly climbing only, and the only tool is the ropes provided with steep tracks... After that, we went into the cave and started walking, 'saw' lots of bats and I finally understand why some people can go crazy if they stay in the cave for too long because its totally dark and you can do nothing there with all the path dividers leading to different routes... There was 1 part in the cave where you have to climb up by adjusting your body to lay on the floor while climbing because the height is just too small... After that you will have to crawl from it to find a solid ground... Cool...Blow pipe competition- At night, we had our first group activity which is the blow pipe competition... The guides taught us how to shoot using a blow pipe just like the orang aslis...16th- Day 2: Rafflesia, Treasure hunt, Night jungle trekking...Rafflesia: We climb to some part of the mountain just to see a few bouquet of Rafflesia flower... The dangerous part was it rained the day before, making the road to be more slippery and furthermore we have to the danger of being bitten by leeches... Too bad the Rafflesia flower opens for 5 days only and when we went there, it was closed...Treasure hunt- The only indoor activity... The main objective of this game is to help us to know more about Adeline's Resthouse... My team lost to Hare Jsr's team by a few minutes... haha...Night jungle trekking- This activity was about to be cancelled because it rained the whole evening, but we were lucky that it stopped early... I was wondering about going for this actvity because it rained just before this activity so the path will be damn steep but there were lots of people who joined it so I followed... As soon as we went into the jungle, Arepex showed some creatures to Ashley and some pupils in front... But at that moment, the only thing I had in mind was to rush my way out of the forest because of the leech ambushes, darkness and the steep tracks... Without a torch light in a jungle at night is same as being blind...17th- Day 3: Paintball, Waterfall, Campfire...Paintball: This is my 1st time in playing this game... Our Marshall- Andrew briefed us about the game... My team was the winning team but we lost the Marshall in a 8 vs 4 game...lol... Although the Marshalls were outnumbered but they're just too good for us...Waterfall: After that, we went to the waterfalls to have our lunch... And then we played with the water in waterfalls...Campfire: This was a total disaster... Most of us felt tired due to the rain which delayed the schedule for it... It turned out to be a whole bunch of us rounding the fire and waiting for it to extinguished...18th- Last day- Today: Water Abscelling, HomeWater Abscelling: This is the 2nd activity I liked most... The 1st is caving... We have to find our way down from the top of the waterfall to the ground which is 15m high... Although it sounds hard but it will be easy if you followed the instructions...Home: We were scheduled to go home by 4.30pm but thanks to the 6S4 freaks, we left at 5.30pm instead and so we couldn't stop at Bidor to have our lunch anymore...I'm glad to have known Simon-a fashion designer, Adeline, Arepex and Aredik- the all rounder who tutored almost all of the activities... Last but not least, our tour guide-Ashley... I pay my gratitude to all of them...
On our way home in the bus, Ashley told us some ghost stories and told us about some of the happenings in the Adeline's Resthouse... She said that Adeline observed the food that we love and hate to eat to prepare our meals... Ashley said that Adeline kept repeating that 'as long as they are happy with the food, that's enough'... The food there is way too delicious...!!! And we were allowed to do 2nd rounds or more... Adeline is also very hillarious because in the beginning she knew she would lose lots of money(as told by Ashley), but she repeated that 'as long as they are happy with the food, that's enough'... haha...
I'm very happy to have used RM460 for this trip, because the food itself is well worth half of the bill... And moreover, all the activities we had require lots of teachings and tools...
The experience is like being stranded in a forest because you have no connection with the outside world... No HP line, no internet and other high tech things... I've learnt a lot of things that are not written in the textbook... The most important in facing a situation is not to panic, no matter what kind of danger you are, because when you panic, your brain just seems to clot and you can't think properly... Unfortunately, I didn't manage to take pictures because I'm always busy with both of my hands...
I hope that we can really meet again someday... Best of luck my dear friends!!!
